Tornado

Twist her, twist her
These words funnel down and touch the ground
Spinning, spinning, I am
Dizzy from this shame and humiliation catches me
Running, running are my thoughts
Red faced and closed lips, I am ashamed
Twist her, twist her
How quick these tables turn and everything you do is useless
Spinning, spinning, everything I do
Stumbling forward, bruised palm and dust clotting my throat
Running, running from these alarms
Thundering is their laughter, and I am stuck in a vortex of whirling pointing fingers
Twist her, twist her
Jabbing people can be and destructive as they tear down your dreams
Spinning, spinning are the clouds in my eyes
Funneling down pain and this embarrassment remains behind
Running, running down this trail of shambled hope
I am quiet now, humbling is the crowd roaring all around me
Twist her, twist her
These words funnel down and touch the ground
