Self Portrait #2
Few more gray hairs
Sharper tongue
More scars
Eyes wide open
Find myself exploring
Searching streets
Enjoying the smaller details
Chasing shadows
Leaving behind rainbows
Stronger
Broken nails
Motherhood
Brings me down to earth
Small boy clinging
Curled up, smiling
Old enough to know better
Young enough to not be dead
Charging the stage
Road trips
Found fleeting memories
Sometimes still feel sting of pain
Past will not define me
For more journey ahead
Mistakes unintentional
Was once told I chase after men
But, rather I was chasing a dream
Dreams change, and so have I
Come sit with me
We have a lot to discuss
Let us start with today
